Frome Community Bike Project (FCBP) and Cycle Together are offering a range of activities for cyclists of all levels of ability for this year’s Great Big Green Week, running from 8th to 16th June. All FCBP events during Great Big Green Week are free to attend; some require booking in advance. Frome Community Bike Project Director Emma Parker said:
“Thanks to funding from Green and Healthy Frome, we’re able to run loads of extra cycling activities and events this Great Big Green Week – and you don’t need to be a seasoned rider to take part. Gain confidence if you’ve got a bit out of practice with our class for adult beginners on 13th June, or bring your bike to our maintenance class the following day and pick up some skills to keep your bike running smoothly. For those of you with a bit more riding experience, we’re heading off for a sociable 9-mile bike ride on Sunday 9th June, and a more challenging 20-mile ride around beautiful countryside (with rest and refreshment stops, of course!) on Sunday 16th June.”
“Dr Bike is on hand throughout Great Big Green Week at Frome’s Saturday market on the 9th and at Station Approach on 12th and 15th June: bring us your bike to mend or start/relaunch your cycling journey by buying one of our refurbished bikes.”
