We’re excited to be taking part in Frome’s third annual Great Big Green Week! Read on to see what’s on offer and how you can get involved.
Great Big Green Week is a nationwide celebration of action to tackle climate change and protect nature. This year will be the third time the week has been run in Frome and will take place between 10th – 18th of June.
It is an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate our town’s green spaces and highlight the action that being taken to tackle climate change. With activities ranging from nature walks to a clothes swap and even a river festival, there is something for everyone.
A whopping 40+ events have been organised for Frome’s Great Big Green Week this year, including several which are being hosted or supported by us at Green & Healthy Frome:
- Saturday 10th – Frome Seed Library Outdoor Garden Launch, Frome Library (11am-1pm)
- Saturday 10th – Market Menu w/ Frome Food Network, Lo Rapitenc (12-3pm & 6-10pm)
- Monday 12th – Green Community Connector Training Session, Frome Medical Practice (10-11am)
- Monday 12th – Energy Advice Session, Frome Library (10am-4pm)
- Tuesday 13th – Young People’s Food Sustainability Workshop w/ Science Boost, Cheese & Grain (4-5.30pm)
- Wednesday 14th – Big Green Clothes Swap w/ Everyone Needs Pockets, Silk Mill (7-9pm)
- Thursday 15th – Big Green Meet Up & Picnic, Victoria Park (6.30-9pm)
- Friday 16th – Flax Workshop w/ Everyone Needs Pockets, Vallis Farm (10am-4pm)
- Friday 16th – This Food is Rubbish w/ Frome Food Network, Rye Bakery (7-11pm)
