Future Shed Frome

Green Community Connectors logo green

Future Shed Frome offers practical support to get green and healthy initiatives and enterprises off the ground through building networks, connecting people and start-up coaching.

Make new connections, share ideas and get support to bring them to life so that we’re all better equipped for a greener, healthier future.

Future Shed is part of Edventure, an organisation supporting community entrepreneurship in Frome.

Come to a Future Shed Session

Future Shed sessions happen on Friday mornings at Edventure’s Welsh Mill Hub in Frome.

We have built local networks of action around food, reuse and wellbeing, with groups meeting monthly at Future Shed.  Meet ups happen between 10am and 12pm. Go to our Eventbrite page for details of the meet ups and to book in.

These informal sessions discuss ideas and plans and make connections between the people in the room. Support is also on offer from the Future Shed team as well as signposting to coaching and other resources. This is a space to meet up, build relationships and get involved!

Use our co-working space on Friday mornings

Are you working on a venture that connects to the environment and community? Do you have an idea you want to develop and need support?

Use our professional co-working space for free on Friday mornings from 9.30am to 1.30pm. You can use our desk spaces surrounded with beautiful plants, fast WiFi, fabulous ethical teas and coffee, and access our workshop / maker-space and meeting room.

Residencies

As part of Green & Healthy Frome, we are working in partnership with networks and groups to take community-led action on climate and health. Four groups are ‘in residence’ with Future Shed through 2023 creating public activities and events as well as receiving support to develop their organisation and communications.

Support on offer:

  • free 1:1 start up coaching from a qualified coach
  • free 1:1 support to access from a professional fundraiser
  • making connections and building networks on wellbeing and climate action

It doesn’t matter what stage of a project you’re at, whether you’re already in the thick of it, just toying with an idea or simply passionate about making a difference but not sure how. Get in touch.

Ideas Event

Future Shed Frome has hosted ideas sessions on topics that have been brought forward from the Green & Healthy launch event in 2020 and from our online Ideas Board.  These events explore how, as a town, we can reduce carbon and increase our health and wellbeing through working together and sharing ideas.

Learning opportunities with Edventure

Edventure runs Short Courses through the year offering sessions that support our community to gain skills and learning – visit Eventbrite to see what’s on offer.
