health & wellbeing Network
A network of wellbeing practitioners and health professionals focusing on health and wellbeing in our community in relation to climate change and the environment.
This network is co-hosted with Embodied Movement and Healing Practitioner / Facilitator for Women’s Health Kerryann Peachey. We also work closely with Frome Medical Practice through the Green and Healthy Frome partnership programme.
The network formed in 2022, and began by meeting monthly at Future Shed exploring what is needed and what the opportunities are to support our community.
Discussions and activities have explored:
- Women’s health
- Men’s health
- Resting as radical action
- Eco-anxiety
- Nature connection
- An ‘Imaginarium’ visioning session led by Jenny Lachs
Through 2024, a series of practical sessions enabled us to explore health, climate and community in more depth, led by practitioners:
- An arts workshop on Solastalgia with artist Summer Auty
- Nature as Mirror and Guide with Better Nature EcoTherapy (Barbara Gonzales and Tom Veck)
- Rewilding the Voice with sound and movement facilitator Vaishnavi Brassey
The network usually meets on the first Friday of the month at Future Shed. Please check our events listing for our activities and meetups.
