SELCo (which stands for Shared Earth Learning Co-op) believes that when the planet is healthy, so are the people on it, and vice versa. They reconnect people with the world around them and give them the skills for a life of wellbeing. This is what we at Future Shed are all about too!
Who are SELCo? The Shared Earth Learning Forest School co-op is a team of experienced Forest School leaders. They aim to support community cohesion and invite people from different backgrounds to join their groups. They create a space for people to spend time in nature and enhance their relationship with the natural world, growing skills and an awareness of the importance of environmental sustainability as they go.
This month, Future Shed Frome and SELCo have partnered up to shine a light on one of their weekly meetings. Their “Dippy Group” meet every Thursday, 10:30-12:30 at the Dippy bridge. This group connects adults with additional needs with each other and with Frome’s Park Rangers.
Together they take care of The Dippy and grow their social circles. Their gatherings help grow confidence, connections and a love of nature. There’s room for more and it’s free to attend! Know of anyone who might enjoy getting along? Give the SELCo team a call to find out more on 07708476188.
